Tourist Visa
With a UK tourist visa you can travel to, and stay in the UK for up to six months. This is an effective type of visa for tourists, which allows people to enter the UK without the need for the more formal requirements of other immigration routes.
The requirements for Tourist/visitor visa
Persons who wish to come to the UK for visiting/as a tourist will need to meet the following requirements:
• You are at the age of 18 or over
• You prove that you only intend to remain for up to a maximum of six months (the duration your visa will be valid for).
• You show that you will have enough money to be able to support yourself and any of your dependants throughout the duration of your stay, without recourse to public funds.
• You show that you can meet the costs of an onward and outward journey.
• You prove that you are willing to the leave the UK at the end of your permitted stay.
The Applicants must also show/prove that they:
• will not and don’t need to take up any employment or establish themselves in business
• will not and don’t need to produce goods/similar services
• Do not intend to get married while they are there
• Do not intend to receive any private medical treatment in the uk
Documents required for the application (evidence)
The Applicants should be able to provide the following evidence (or similar documents) in support of their application to prove that they can pay for their own and dependants’ expenses:
• If the applicant is employed, a letter from the employer confirming absence of the applicant’s leave/holiday
• Bank statements of the applicant (over a few months)
• The Evidence of the applicant’s savings, shares or property
• In some case you may require an invitation letter
The Applicants who are granted a visa will be allowed to enter the UK providing there has not been any important change in their circumstances.
